Manager, Customs, excise and Waste Management (EPR fee) advisory services
Tímea Szántó joined RSM Hungary Zrt in 2016 as a team member of the division for consultancy in customs, excise and Waste Management (EPR fee). Tímea gained her professional experience before RSM by being employed at other international tax consultancy companies and nearly two decades of being employed as an official at various bodies of the customs authority.
She performs advisory and compliance tasks related to customs, excise tax, environment protection product fees, and public health product taxes. Within the customs professional area, she has extremely extensive experience in establishing the customs value, in defining origin rules, in the customs tariff classification of products, and in licensing procedures; and she has also participated in the coordination of several successful AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) projects.
In the special areas of excise, product fees and public health product taxes, she carries out compliance duties in addition to consultancy (producing and keeping registers, performing administrative obligations as prescribed by legal regulations); and she is experienced in the handling of follow-up customs and excise audits and in any legal remedy proceedings associated therewith.
Hungary is a popular location for the shooting of Hollywood and international film productions with studios bringing not only staff but also own equipment and requisites for shooting, which require special treatment and customs clearance.
