This way, not only company managers and business experts but a wider audience will have a say in the results of this international competition. With this new feature, the acknowledged European Business Awards organized for the sixth time this year will undoubtedly be the most prestigious and most widely followed business competition in Europe. The online vote between 6 September and 17 October will select from the national finalist of each participating country the national champions who received the highest number of visitor votes based on their introduction videos.
In addition to the visitor poll, the films will also be viewed by expert judges who will grant national champion titles to 5-20 companies in each country. From the national champions announced in November, until January 2013 a jury of excellent businessmen, academics and entrepreneurs will pick the 110 European companies, who will win the Ruban d’Honneur award, the highest acknowledgement within the European Business Awards. The awards will be presented and the competition will officially be closed at a grand gala in April 2013.
“The European Business Awards has always been a major test for companies, which is, in our opinion, necessary for finding the most outstanding European companies. The competition will however now become even more intense with the introduction of the online poll based on the introduction videos” – Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards commented on the new feature. He added that this new procedure will give participating companies the opportunity to address their supporters and fans in a much wider circle than earlier and through modern channels.
Expressive data from the EBA of 2011: the aggregate sales revenue of the candidates exceeded one billion Euros and the aggregate number of their employees 2.7 million. The European Business Awards is an independent business competition intended to acknowledge and promote business excellence and innovation. It presents examples to be followed to a wider business audience drawing attention to successful persons and organizations and presenting case studies and solutions for success through the examples of the enterprises succeeding in the competition. EBA is supported by European organizations such as RSM International, Infosys, Millicom International Cellular S.A. and UK Trade & Investment.
